Welcome!
My name is Andrew Muscarella and I have recently graduated from Northern Arizona University in May 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Strategic Communications with an Emphasis on Advertising. I have established many skills throughout a variety of courses, including communication, advertising and marketing, design using Adobe suites, team-oriented work, public speaking and project management capabilities.

I am an experienced artist with an eye for design. Art and Drawing have been a strength of mine for as long as I can remember, and I aspire to transfer these skills to advertising and graphic design. On this website, I will be including projects that I have completed for courses at NAU, as well as personal art projects that I do on my own.

Marketing Intern - Nackard Pepsi
Working with Nackard Pepsi as a marketing intern was a great opportunity to increase my knowledge and gain some insight into the behind-the-scenes of Pepsi's point-of-sale marketing. I worked with a team to print and produce banners, labels, displays, and more for both Pepsi and businesses around Northern Arizona, such as Walmart, Safeway, various gas stations, Northern Arizona University, and many more.

Pool Attendant - Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs
Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs was a fantastic opportunity that allowed me to develop not only exceptional customer service and hospitality skills, but also my communication skills. This was a fast-paced environment that revolved around team coordination in order to satisfy guests at the resort. This job enabled me to establish problem solving skills to solve any issues without needing guidance from management.

Working for Harkins was an amazing experience as a first job. Here I learned the use of cash registers, knowledge of cash handling procedures, loyalty programs and up-selling techniques. At Harkins, I was tasked with having excellent customer service, exceptional time management, and working in a team to complete tasks.

I have recently graduated in May 2022 with a Bachelor's Degree in Strategic Communications with an Emphasis on Advertising. I have also completed coursework towards a minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
During my time at NAU, I was able to gain many valuable skills and make amazing connections with my peers, professors, and other NAU faculty.
Through my coursework, I honed my understanding of advertising, as well as developed graphic design skills using Adobe suites such as InDesign and Adobe Creative Cloud Express. I have also obtained a Google Data Analytics certification through a course at NAU. The vast majority of my coursework involved group projects with the most significant being my senior capstone course. In this course, I worked with a team to develop and present an advertising campaign for Welch's Jams and Jellies. For any group project I've been a part of, including my capstone, I have taken on the role of Project Manager and helped the team stay on a steady track while also making key decisions for the project at hand.

Learning new things excites me, and I hope to work in an environment that will enable me to grow with my peers. I am confident that I can acquire the skills necessary to succeed if given opportunities to learn new software and techniques.
